Equipment & Device Setup

Horizon360 stores all of your Equipment and Devices in one place for you to easily access. You can add/edit the power Equipment your teams use on the job and add/assign GPS tracking devices to that equipment to always have insights to where your crew is and where they should be headed next. Let’s start by adding some Equipment.

Please Note: You will need both the Model & Serial Number of the machine to add it to your Equipment list. The Model & Serial # can be found on the product details sticker on your machine.

Adding Equipment

1.
From the Equipment page, click “Add Equipment"
2.
Choose if this is a piece of equipment or a vehicle
3.
Select the Brand that makes the equipment
4.
Enter the Model and Serial Number of the machine
5.
Add a Nickname to easily identify the piece of equipment
6.
Select the Type of Equipment for this machine
7.
Assign a Tracking Device if applicable (see Device setup instructions below)
8.
Assign this machine to the Crew who will be using it (Note: If you are unsure which Crew this equipment will be assigned to, leave this field blank)
9.
Select the display color for the equipment (Note: once assigned to a crew, equipment will use Crew Color)
10.
Add additional info as applicable

When you purchased the machine
b.
How much you paid for the machine
c.
Estimated hours of current use/run time for this machine

Click save
Now that we have added some equipment, let’s add a new GPS Tracking Device. Be sure to refer to the Device Installation Guide to ensure your devices are properly installed to your equipment.

**Important Note: If you have more than one device, we also recommend keeping track of which device you add to each machine using the device Serial Number. The device Serial Number is the 10-digit numerical "ESN" printed on the bottom of the device.

Adding Devices

From your initials in the top right corner, select Settings
2.
Select Subscribed Devices from the Settings Menu
3.
Click Buy Device
4.
Click Subscribe and the + button for the number of devices you need (you can purchase asset and vehicle devices at the same time)
5.
Click the red card to complete checkout
6.
Review your order and adjust as necessary
7.
Select an existing or add a new payment method and billing address
8.
Check the Terms of Service box and click Place Order
Note: Device orders will ship via UPS Ground and arrive in 7 - 10 days. If you do not receive your devices within this time range, please reach out to horizon360@toro.com.

Assigning Devices

Once your devices arrive, it's time to complete the setup and assign the devices to equipment. If you have not already done so, be sure to add your Equipment.

Each device has a 10-digit serial number (ESN) written on the sticker on the device. It is important to take note of which ESN/device you are installing onto each machine, so that you can assign them to the correct equipment for accurate tracking.

See the Device Installation guide if you need assistance installing the devices to your equipment/vehicles.
1.
From the Subscribed Devices Settings, click the edit pencil next to the device you wish to setup/assign
2.
Select whether you are adding an Asset or a Vehicle tracking device (this example shows Asset, but the fields are the same for both types)
3.
The Device Subscription ID will be automatically assigned
4.
Add a Device Name to easily recognize (i.e. name of the equipment device is assigned to)
5.
Enter the Device ESN (found on the device itself)
6.
Select the Equipment the device is assigned to
7.
Reference the Device Installation guides/videos if needed
8.
Click Save to complete device setup
Continue until you have added and assigned all of your devices.
You are now ready to start tracking your equipment and vehicles! Be sure to set your customers' geofences around their properties so that you get the most accurate tracking data. For more information, see the Customers and Tracking guides.
