Horizon360™ User Guide
Syncing QuickBooks Data
Horizon360 syncs directly with your QuickBooks Online account to easily prepare your jobs for invoicing. You can also import your Customer, Employee & Services data to Horizon360 for faster setup.
Please Note: Horizon360 recommends some review and cleanup of your Quickbooks account prior to syncing anything. Taking the time to ensure you have clean Quickbooks data will cause less frustrations down the road. Please be sure to read the
Quickbooks Cleanup Tips article before you import any data.
Importing QuickBooks Data
Connecting to QuickBooks Online
Let's begin with connecting Horizon to your Quickbooks Online account - this will allow you to import your customers, employees & services as well as send your completed job instances back to Quickbooks to easily send out for Invoicing.
1.
On the Quickbooks page, click Connect.
2.
You will be prompted to log in to your Quickbooks account & allow Horizon to connect to your account.
3.
Once connected, select Quickbooks -> Horizon sync direction.
4.
Click the Refresh Sync button to pull in your data from Quickbooks.
Importing Customers
Now that you have connected your Horizon & Quickbooks accounts, all of your Employees, Customers & Services in Quickbooks will be listed for you to import. For this example, let's focus on Customers.
1.
On the Quickbooks page, select the Customers tab to load your customers from QBs.
2.
Check the box to the left of a customer (or the box above the current list to select all customers displayed).
3.
Select one of the following actions from the drop-down:
a.
Create this customer in Horizon
b.
Match this customer with an existing customer in Horizon
c.
Skip this customer and do not add them in Horizon
4.
Click Save to create, map or skip the selected customer(s) in Horizon.
Continue through each page to finish importing your customer data. Repeat these same steps for Employees & Services.
Horizon360 has a two-way sync connection with Quickbooks Online, so in addition to pulling data from your QBs to H360, you can also push data back to your QB. For example, if you start to add new customers & employees to Horizon360, you can quickly import those to your Quickbooks account to avoid duplicate work.
1.
Change the sync directions to Horizon360 -> QuickBooks.
2.
Select the Customers you would like to sync.
3.
The drop-down will default to "Create" to add this customer to Quickbooks (Note: click the drop-down to Type to Search for another name or Skip adding this customer).
4.
Click Save to sync these customers to your Quickbooks account.
Continue through each page to finish importing your customer data. Repeat these same steps for Employees & Services as well.
